Hinsdale House Investigation

Join Cross Country Paranormal as we return to The Hinsdale House in Hinsdale, NY on June 17th, 2023. It is believed that around 1,100 Native Americans were killed on the land during a massacre. Researchers have claimed that they were Wenros who predate the Seneca Indians and that there are four to five Native American mounds on the land. There is also a claim that a witch killed on the grounds who was believed to be a Native American healer and was burned at the stake. Also on the land is the legend of the ‘Hanging Tree’ which is claimed to have been a place where criminals were hung and the pond itself has also been the scene of reported drownings and there are tales of numerous unmarked graves in the hills. The most documented occupants of the property are the Dandy family. Clara and Phil Dandy moved in 1973, it was the house of their dreams, but it very quickly would prove to be more of a nightmare. As soon as they moved in, they would allegedly be plagued by all manner of strange occurrences, at first involving mostly minor poltergeist activity such as moving objects or lights turning on and off, but swiftly graduating to something more sinister. Shadow figures, full bodied apparitions of a woman in white, of a man in overalls holding a shotgun, bizarre animal-human hybrids, EVPs, footsteps walking around upstairs, doors slamming when there’s nothing moving are just of a few of the paranormal reports throughout the years. One of the most unusual stories of the Dandy family is that night when they noticed a group of strange faces staring in their windows. However, when Mr. Dandy ran outside to chase away the trespassers, the faces reversed and were then peering back at him from the inside of the house.
